Winning Strategy for Annual Enrollment
Randy Latta, an agent with Senior Solutions in Pelham, Ala., is successfully leading his team of Medicare advisors through the Annual Election Period by partnering with local pharmacies. Here is a brief look at his winning strategy:
Look outside your own backyard.
“We found that the further away pharmacies were from a major metropolitan area, the happier they were to have an agent from Community CCRx in there to help their patients.”
Go the extra mile and call upon counties where plans have exited.
“A pharmacist called to say 60 percent of her customers had a Medicare Advantage plan that was canceled. These customers are low-income, but do not qualify for Medicaid. She was so worried about losing the customers. Now we have one of our agents regularly traveling three hours to visit that store, and there is always a line of people waiting to talk with our agent.”
Use the Web tools on communityccrx.com to determine drug prices for your prospective clients.
“We ask our clients for the list of medicines they take. Then, we go to the Community CCRx Web site to compare plans and show them the best plan to fit their needs. It works 10 out of 10 times.”
